The online light novel publisher J-Novel Club is expanding its reach to Europe with its newest brand, JNC Nina.

J-Novel Club is a premier scanning and publishing service for readers seeking Japanese and English-translated light novels, which announced a new branch of the company this weekend with the Europe-based JNC Nina. Originally, the company only published novels in Japanese and English for Western audiences, though its new branch will now see its reach expand to French and German translations as well.

As of today, European readers can subscribe to the service for 5,49€ a month or 60€ a year (the equivalent of US$5.79 and US$63) for access to the service's entire catalog of light novels either through a web browser or the official J-Novel Club app. A subscription also grants users access to the official JNC Discord server, where readers can discuss their favorite novels or series among fellow readers and participate in community events.

The current lineup of series available at launch for JNC Nina includes Hell Mode, The Faraway Paladin, The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent, Tearmoon Empire, Brunhild and Classroom of the Elite. Each series will have French and German translations with the exception of Brunhild and Classroom of the Elite, which are available only in German and French, respectively. New series will reportedly release in the months following Nina's launch following JNC's regular release schedules.

J-Novel Club typically releases new chapters of light novels every week, followed by a full digital collection of each chapter compiled into a single volume that is often available two weeks after the premiere of the final chapter of a light novel. The JNC website also offers collected digital volumes of various light novels available for purchase starting at 7,99€ (US$8.41), which are available to all users with or without a subscription to the service.

Currently, JNC has no official plans to release novels in print editions, although it is reportedly working with physical publishers to release limited print versions in the near future. Until then, the catalog for European subscribers is set to continue growing as the company publishes brand-new series and continues to update existing ones every week.

JNC Nina is available now in Europe as a monthly subscription, with digital volumes in both French and German available on the official JNC website, Amazon and other online retailers.
