Star Wars franchise star Ahmed Best is hoping to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Best, who's known for playing Jar Jar Binks and Kelleran Beq in the world of Star Wars, took to Instagram to share some fan artwork of himself suited up as the superhero Blue Marvel. The digital artwork seems to have gotten Best thinking about how much he'd love to turn that fantasy casting into a reality. Tagging Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, Best noted in the caption of the post, "I think I would make a dope [Blue Marvel]... As my mother would say #manifesting LOL."

Blue Marvel was created by writer Kevin Grevioux and artist Mat Broome, first appearing in Marvel Comics in 2008. The superhero, whose real name is Adam Brashear, gained his superpowers through an anti-matter experiment gone awry. Blue Marvel's powers include flight, superhuman strength, and semi-invulnerability, making him sometimes compared to Superman. An animated version of Blue Marvel briefly appeared in an episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, but a live-action incarnation has not yet been introduced in the MCU.

Ahmed Best May Have More to Do With Star Wars

Best rose to fame for portraying Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. He has since been playing the role of Kelleran Beq, a Jedi Master character he'd previously played on the Star Wars game show Jedi Temple Challenge. As Kelleran, Best saved Grogu in a flashback sequence for a special appearance in Season 3 of The Mandalorian earlier this year. Best may be keeping his eye on a potential Marvel role, but there's a good chance fans will see more of Kelleran Beq in action in the future of Star Wars.

"It's always a possibility [Kelleran Beq will return]," executive producer Dave Filoni previously teased, per Entertainment Weekly. "We love Ahmed, and he did such a great job. It was a real thrill for us to get him involved."

"I really care about how Kelleran Beq will be received," Best also said of the character's Mandalorian debut in a StarWars.com interview. "I know this might not be cool to say, but I want everyone who watches Star Wars to look at Kelleran Beq and go, ‘I believe that guy. I want to follow that guy. Where does he go? What happens next?’ I think all the best stories are stories that leave you wondering what happens next."

Kelleran Beq was very well-received by Mandalorian viewers, but as of now, Best's future in the franchise remains unclear.
