Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has gotten a special CGI TV spot trailer highlighting the upcoming release.

The trailer posted on Marvel Games' X (formerly Twitter) page focuses on Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they not only fight the villainous Venom but also struggle with all that is happening around them. The trailer cuts in and out of the fight to show Peter Parker at the graves of his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, wondering if he will be able to save the city that is at war; meanwhile, Miles is in his room, wondering if he'll be able to save his family from the dangers that are coming for them.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Highlights The Spider-Men

Despite their troubles, they are able to put on their masks and jump back into the fire to save everyone. The trailer shows some of the game's story beats and the numerous abilities and gadgets they can use against characters like Venom. Miles will have new electric attacks to wield, and Peter will have spider legs within his suit that he can use, devices such as lash bangs to throw at foes, and more. Fans can also see the two use their web wings, which will be helpful to traverse the numerous areas of New York City.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will open up the city like never before. First, there will be more places to visit, such as Brooklyn, Queens, and Coney Island. It's even been confirmed that gamers can ride the rides at Coney Island, and certain cutscenes highlight how the main characters will visit these areas. Second, the "fast travel" system will be enhanced thanks to the PS5's SSD drive, to the extent that players won't have to deal with load screens as they go from one point to another in the city.

Another key addition is how both Peter and Miles can tackle missions and side quests. For example, gamers can switch between the Spider-Men anytime they want, and sometimes, they'll even see the other Spider-Man fighting crime while they're swinging somewhere else. Furthermore, there will be exclusive quests for the Spider-Men to take individually, ensuring that both characters are used. With the arrival of Kraven The Hunter and his army, alongside other villains that will pop up, there will be all new tasks for players to take on if they truly want to save New York.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will arrive on PS5 on October 20.
