The following contains spoilers for Ahsoka Season 1, now streaming on Disney+.

As Season 1 of Ahsoka comes to an end, fans seem mostly pleased with the direction Dave Filoni took. It culminated in an epic finale, merging stories from Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars. Admittedly, it was a bittersweet ending, with Thrawn coming back to reboot the Empire and Ahsoka and Sabine Wren remaining in another galaxy.

However, hope still lives because Ezra gets back to warn Hera Syndulla of the Imperial threat. That said, Ahsoka does have some cracks in the narrative. With that in mind, let's dissect Ahsoka's biggest plot holes and mysteries left unanswered.

10 What Happened to the Teased War?

Ahsoka Thrawn

Now, it's clear there is going to be a big war after Ahsoka did its Avengers: Infinity War impression. Hera and Ezra need to let the New Republic know they need to form an army. However, it does make one wonder why General Leia or someone like Holdo didn't mention Thrawn's return in the sequel trilogy.

It does feel like this is a big part of Palpatine's return and the rise of legions such as the First and Final Orders. And Thrawn and the Nightsisters of Dathomir have that Sith Eternal cult vibe, which foreshadows the Exegol project. It's an odd gap in history that Filoni's StarWars movie will have to fill in.

9 Why Don't the Troopers Fire At Sabine and Ezra?

Ahsoka's Season 1 finale has Sabine and Ezra trying to Force-jump onto Thrawn's ship. Sabine pushes Ezra over, hoping he'll pull her across. Oddly enough, a pair of troopers are watching.

Yet, they don't fire at Sabine and Ezra at all. Not even when Ezra's midair. They have ample time to shoot even before the Jedi duo try to jump. It's just to allow Ezra to board and take a suit as a disguise.

8 How Does Ezra Escape Thrawn's Warship?

Now, Thrawn's Star Destroyer, the Chimaera, is still very much operational. Thus, it should be picked up if there's a stowaway. This means there should be no reason Ezra can slip onboard and sneak off with a vessel. Ahsoka should have shown him using his skills to find a way off the ship.

As it stands, it's plot convenience, which doesn't track wit a Thrawn who's proactive and monitoring everything on his prized transport. Given he has "special cargo" -- presumed to be bodies to reanimate as the living dead -- he should be more attentive.

7 Why Doesn't Ezra Unmask?

Ezra makes a silly decision when coming onto Hera's ship. He disembarks but never takes his Stormtrooper disguise off. He doesn't even say hello to let Hera know it's him, which could have turned into a bloody firefight.

On top of that, one has to wonder why would Hera's vessel let an Imperial fighter dock. It'd make sense that Ezra radios in first, but clearly, that doesn't happen. It doesn't add up that Ezra could predict the ship would take him in and trust him and that Hera would let the enemy board without knowing who it was.

6 Why Don't the Zombie Troopers Fire En Masse?

Ahsoka Gold Stormtroopers and Chimera Star Destroyer

Morgan Elsbeth gets the Blade of Talzin to fight Ahsoka. However, when Ahsoka's winning, the Zombie Troopers never fire on her. There's no code and honor here, as they should want to protect their master and source of life.

In addition, when the troopers fire on Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra earlier, they do so one at a time. Apparently, not even Thrawn's fleet knows about increasing the probability of hitting a target. Admittedly, this has been a franchise problem for decades, with plot convenience always giving the heroes a fighting chance.

5 Why Don't the Zombies Spot Sabine?

When Ahsoka battles Morgan, it's clear she's got numbers against her. However, Sabine just appears out of nowhere with her lightsaber. It's quite dramatic, revealing she chose to protect her mentor rather than go with Ezra on Thrawn's ship.

But while it's heroic and sacrificial, it lacks logic. Sabine would have had to scale or jump to this tower, which means the zombies would have had sufficient time to spot her. It's another bit of plot convenience, making it seem like either Sabine can teleport while the zombies have no awareness after coming back to life.

4 What Happened to the Daughter?

Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll stands on a statue of the Father of Mortis on the Star Wars series, Ahsoka.

Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll is spotted in the end at the Mortis statues of Peridea. The Father (Balance) and Son (the Dark Side) are there, but the Daughter's statue is broken. It leaves fans wondering what happened to her and how is this lost galaxy linked to Mortis, the Force and the origin of these gods.

Some theories suggest Baylan's looking for Mother (aka Abeloth) after she was imprisoned by her family for being a dark entity. This sets up Season 2 of Ahsoka to dissect more of this StarWars folklore and why the Daughter's statue has been desecrated.

3 Does Ahsoka Ever Make It Back?

Different versions of Ahsoka from her different appearances in Star Wars shows

While it's never explained where Ahsoka was during the Palpatine-Vader reign, one would think these TV shows would then explain where she was during the sequel trilogy. The same goes for the likes of Bo-Katan, Din Djarin and Grogu. Ahsoka is of particular importance, however, as she deals with the Jedi rebirth. Luke's new order failed, which is why Rey Skywalker has her own movie planned to reboot the religious warriors.

But Ahsoka's ending has fans curious if she and Sabine ever make it back. Luke would surely have mentioned them to Rey or even tried to change his methods to be closer to theirs. As it stands, Ahsoka's place in the franchise after her own series it a bit unclear.

2 What Was Baylan Skoll's Past and Endgame?

Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll in the Ahsoka finale.

With Ray Stevenson's tragic passing, Star Wars may have to recast Baylan to complete his story. No one knows how he escaped Order 66, how he knew Anakin was Darth Vader, why he bought into a Sith vision with Thrawn and how he recruited Shin Hati. Seeing as he abandoned Shin, his endgame for this apprentice is also vague.

It does seem heavily linked to the Nightsisters, but the show doesn't even reveal how they were exiled on Peridea and why. Clearly, there are many moving parts to Baylan's deal and why he felt Thrawn could restore order that his former enemy in Palpatine couldn't.

1 What Is Huyang's True History?

Ezra-Huyang-Lightsaber

Huyang is a fan-favorite from the animated era, but this series confirms he's been around for much longer, even before the prequel trilogy. It may be Huyang -- as this repository of information -- might be dissected whenever the High Republic stories come to light.

For now, the most pertinent question is how did this robotic library escape Order 66. One has to think the Emperor would know about this android as a treasure trove of Jedi knowledge. Huyang is resourceful, so it'd be nice to know what tactics and help he used to evade Palpatine, Vader and Inquisitors on Coruscant.
