Go! Go! Loser Ranger! unveiled a new trailer announcing the voice actors for the main cast and a 2024 release window for the Power Rangers parody.

The minute-long promotional video showcases the Super Sentai team, the Dragon Keepers, in action against the Monster Army. The trailer additionally gave viewers their first look into the performances of voice actors Yusuke Kobayashi, Daishi Kajita and Yumika Yano, who are set to play Footsoldier D, Hibiki Sakurama and Yumeko Suzukiri, respectively.

Yostar Pictures (Blue Archive, Arknights) will handle the production of the anime adaptation, with Keiichi Sato (Tiger & Bunny) set to direct. Keiichiro Ochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets) will take charge of series composition and will be working alongside animation supervisor Kenji Hayama (Dororo). Newcomer Kahoko Koseki will additionally handle the adaptation's character design.

The Legacy of Super Sentai

Based on mangaka Negi Haruba's Super Sentai parody series of the same name, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! follows Footsoldier D on his quest to infiltrate and destroy the Super Sentai group, the Dragon Keepers. A synopsis for the English translation of the original manga reads, "When the Monster Army invaded Earth thirteen years ago, the Divine Dragon Rangers rose up to stop them! With the war raging on, these great heroes are mankind's last hope!...or are they? In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year, forced to continue to crank out a monster a week for the rangers to crush in front of their adoring fans! But one monster has had enough. Something has to change! He'll rebel against the might of the Dragon Rangers and destroy them all...from the inside!"

The Japanese Super Sentai series is a subgenre of tokusatsu media, which is known for its larger-than-life live-action characters and flashy practical special effects. The Super Sentai genre remains one of the most influential cultural phenomena in Japanese media, with an unmistakable impact on many beloved anime series such as My Hero Academia, Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew. The rom-com Super Sentai parody, Love After World Domination, also explored what would happen if the Red Ranger and a soldier of the evil organization fell in love. Super Sentai similarly found great success in overseas markets, with the genre having inspired the massively popular Power Rangers series in North America, which began with 1993's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and continued onto 2020's Power Rangers Dino Fury.

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2024.
