Disney didn't want to put its name on Gargoyles, according to the animated series' co-creator Greg Weisman.Responding to a fan account on Twitter, Weisman explained that Gargoyles' title card didn't read "Disney's Gargoyles" because the studio "was afraid to put its name on the series back then." He added that "technically we were Buena Vista's Gargoyles" -- a reference to the discontinued Walt Disney Company sub-brand Buena Vista. Coldstone, a fan-favorite character from the '90s Gargoyles animated series, will soon be getting a new figure that captures the glory of both his stone side and his mechanical side.Revealed on the cover of TOYCOLLECTR magazine, an upcoming bi-monthly print publication that will launch in September, Coldstone's newest plastic likeness comes courtesy of NECA. NECA Toys revealed the first look at its Bronx figure, based on the Gargoyles character.Posting images of the upcoming figure to Twitter, NECA Toys confirmed that the figure will include interchangeable heads and a "meat snack," as well as a set of draped wings that will fit on the Goliath figure, which is sold separately.
