Ke Huy Quan makes his MCU debut as TVA agent Ouroboros "OB" in Loki Season 2. The actor won an Academy Award for his role in 2022's Everything Everywhere All At Once, but he is perhaps best known for his roles as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Data in The Goonies.

Speaking to ComicBook, Loki costume designer Christine Wada explained Quan wanted to give his Goonies character a nod by incorporating some of Data's style into OB's costume. "It was really fun because he talked about, well, the first fittings, or maybe it was a phone call, he talked about patches because Data had patches, and he was like, 'What about patches? It'd be so fun,'" Wada said. "And it was really, but then it quickly just became OB."

Wada also talked about how much fun it was to work with Quan. "He brings so much. I mean, you could put him in a paper bag, and he would bring life to it." She also praised the actor's work ethic, saying, "He's so sweet, but he also is very dedicated and does his homework and really talks about whether, 'Should this feel a little more vintage?' I mean, we always wanted it to feel like the '30s or '40s, so [his costume] was pulled from a vintage jumpsuit from that era."

Loki's Journey Continues in Season 2

Loki will be the first time that Wada is returning for a show's second season. She says the shift is due to Season 2 being a direct continuation of its predecessor. "The story really never ended in [Loki] Season 1," Wada explained. "So I had to complete the journey with the team. But of course, I really do think that this team and this job is just incredibly special. I think that probably starts from the pages and Tom [Hiddleston] and just the dedication everybody has to building this story and the quirkiness of it."

Executive producer Kevin Wright recently attributed the similarity between Loki Season 1 and 2 to the sets used during filming. "I think it is a rhythm of production," Wright explained. "These things, streaming shoots very fast. It shoots much quicker than our features do, and something that we did in Season 1 that was started as necessity but became this great building point for us was building sets, making the world."

The first episode of Loki Season 2 is streaming on Disney+, with new installments available weekly.
