Early access showings of The Eras Tour movie will be available on Thursday night on Oct. 12 in the United States and Canada. Additional showings will be added throughout the weekend. The announcement comes as the concert film is already reported to have grossed over $100 million in global presale tickets. The musical spectacle is expected to earn between $125 and 175 million in its opening weekend.

Taylor Swift's Epic Eras Tour Is A Musical Odyssey

Swift's concert film is a recorded version of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which concluded its first U.S. leg in Aug. The movie, filmed over three concerts at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, will feature songs from all ten of the singer's albums. This includes Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights.

To celebrate the film's release, AMC expanded its ticket-booking capacity fivefold to meet the overwhelming demand. The tickets are also thoughtfully priced. Standard adult tickets sell for $19.89, a nod to the year of Swift's birth and her fifth album, 1989. For children and seniors, tickets are available at $13.13, paying tribute to Swift's lucky number 13.

The Eras Tour forced several movies to change their release dates as filmmakers wanted to avoid direct competition with Swift's tour. Filmmaker Jason Blum initially hoped that The Exorcist: Believer could share the release weekend with the concert film, but he eventually changed his mind.

"We had this amazing Friday the 13th in October, which is the single best day to release a scary movie," Blum explained about moving Believer to Oct. 6. "Obviously, we moved off that, and we bowed our head to Taylor Swift. It was too risky to see if 'Exorswift' was going to take or not. The one thing that scares me to death is Taylor Swift!"
