There are many ways to approach The Continental: From the World of John Wick. On the one hand, it's a perfectly valid story in its own right that provides a story with a beginning, middle, and end. No prior knowledge is necessary, and to have any would only serve to tickle the part of the brain that finds comfort in familiarity. On the other hand, The Continental's efficacy is entirely contingent upon how much the viewer cares about the John Wick universe, and whether the films have done enough to warrant further narrative pursuit.
